Arrowsmith Bikes put on another great event last weekend at Duomont. Having rained for a couple of days before the event, the root riddled course was slick, and with a couple off camber corners, it made for some interesting racing.
Overall the mood was pretty light and it seemed that the racers were more than happy to hit the course and rip it up. It was great to see some younger riders make it out and try their hand at racing.
With the winning time coming in at 2:24 (Jamie Biluk), the course was a short one for those that stayed on their rides. With shuttles starting around 10:00am and ending just before racing started at noon riders were able to get in a couple of practice runs before the main event.
Looking around the crowd awaiting results, all I could see were smiles, It was great to see everyone get out and enjoy the great weather!
See you all on May 6th for Hammerfest in Parksville!
